Trackside Products, located in Vestal, New York, is owned and operated by Al Wilcox of Apalachin, New York. Wilcox has been involved in motorsports for the better part of his adult life. He has successfully raced drag cars early in his racing career. He left drag racing to try his hand at oval track racing where he competed in the late model division winning many times. When the rigors of racing set in, Wilcox left the driving seat and became a track official at Penn Can Speedway where he served as head flagger. At that time Wilcox became involved with Trackside Products. The business started small only servicing the area speedways. As the need for a more permanent location became apparent, Trackside Products established itself in Vestal, New York. As sales increased a larger building was needed and the business moved to its present location on Old Vestal Road.
Wilcox remains involved with oval track racing as the co-promoter of Penn Can Speedway in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. He also promotes the popular Raceworld Race Car Exposition held annually in Binghamton, New York.
